After lacking a CEO for the past year, Revolt Media and TV has chosen Roma Khanna to fill the vacancy.

Roma Khanna will now work with the company to expand Revolt’s vision of producing multi-platform content, centered around hip-hop music and culture.

“After decades of building large-scale businesses in TV and media. I am excited to have the opportunity to work alongside visionary Sean Combs to get hands-on and redefine content models with a view to building a modern, relevant, global cultural brand,” Khanna said in a statement.

Khanna previously served as the president of MGM Studios and NBCUniversal’s International Networks and Digital. She oversaw MGM’s purchase of United Artists Media Group, and production of shows such as Vikings, Fargo, and Teen Wolf. At NBCUniversal, Khanna lead the company’s expansion of their entertainment channel portfolio, from 14 to 70 channels globally.

“As Revolt continues to grow as a brand and expand globally, I knew we needed a seasoned executive with a proven track record to keep the momentum going and help me lead the network into the future,” said Sean Combs, Founder, and Chairman of Revolt.

“Roma is that person. She has the experience and tenacity to build on Revolt’s success and as we continue to influence content and culture around the world.”

Originally from Toronto, Khanna received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto; and earned law degrees at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit. Khanna also holds a Master of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
